Cumberland Athletic Club suffered their first defeat of the season, in its history in the BigTime Soccer League, this past weekend as Gold Coast came to town. The 4-2 outcome came down to unexpected injuries and lower than anticipated production by goalkeeper Hamid. Falling behind 2-0 early, the Wild Marys were able to scratch back 1 before going down 2 more. There was no coming back after that. "We will pick ourselves up, examine what went right and wrong, and look forward to getting the win against Rose City," said coach Ellinger.
The loss moved CAC to 2nd place in the BSL with 15 points behind Union Southern Californiat at 16 points.
