After several weeks of late lineups and other issues that were hindering the performance of Cumberland Athletic, Andy Williams and John Ellinger are no longer with the team. In their place are new Wild Mary leadership in the form of Predrag "Preki" Radosavljevic (most recently of Sacramento) as Head Coach and Tim Sherwood (formerly of Tottenham and Aston Villa) as General Manager, brought in 3 weeks ago. Both of these men bring international experience, unique perspectives, and great respect from players and the ranks of professional managers. Preki said, "I would be remiss to not commend Andy and John for their work in building a strong foundation. I'm just the beneficiary of their work and I hope I do them credit." Sherwood noted, "The 'bones' of this team were strong, but organizational issues had cropped up. I'm pleased that ownership has responded to my requests directly and working with Preki has been a joy."
